Lieutenant Giles was on my board November 2015.
Seemingly fitting for the month when Remembrance Day falls.
Circa 1950's, this portrait was created from quite a few reference photos to recreate the original feel of the time when Lieutenant Giles was training troops for the Korean war here at an Ontario Army base.
He had just been commissioned by the Queen. A signed formal document appointing him to his position of Lieutenant.
22 years old.
Not an every day occurrence.
Lieutenant Giles was proud of his achievements while serving as a Canadian Army Lieutenant. His portrait hangs proudly.
